INWARD 2: to help them discover God's purposes for their lives...
OUTWARD 2: to empower them to reach out to others...
AND to provide Christian leaders for the church today and tomorrow.
To creatively engage students so they become passionate followers of Jesus Christ!
THE CSM BASICS:
The CSM Discipleship Model is based on two foundational New Testament scriptures:
The Great Commission given by Jesus in Matthew 28:19
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit."
and
The Great Commandment given by Jesus in Mark 12:29-31:
"Jesus replied, "The most important commandment is this: 'Listen, O Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength.' The second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' No other commandment is greater than these."
Our three key words come from this commandment:
Love God - UPWARD
Love Yourself - INWARD
Love Others - OUTWARD
We use these key words to drive everything we do.
